Did you know “Schusterjunge” and “Hurenkind”?

Are both terms in typesetting. A “Schusterjunge” (orphan) is a paragraph-opening line that appears by itself at the bottom of a page or column. And a “Hurenkind” (widow line, literal english translation: child of a whore) is something even worse 😉 It’s a paragraph-ending line that falls at the beginning of the following page column.
It’s really funny if you browse through OpenOffice preferences without this knowledge and you can see somtehing like this: 🙂
